PRHG invests in $500,000 revamp for Pacific Resort Rarotonga

Pacific Resort Hotel Group continues to invest in the improvement of its properties and facilities in 2013, putting a further $500,000 toward upgrades and refurbishments at Pacific Resort Rarotonga. Work has already begun on a new and improved reception with this major refurbishment to change the look and feel of the area. This project will include new tiling and paint for the walls, as well as a new design concept for the area. The revamped reception will be primed and ready to welcome guests in during the Christmas season with plans to also make the front office a completely paperless department.

The 2 Bedroom Lagoon View Villa and the 2 Bedroom Beachfront Villa will also be refreshed over the next few months. This upgrade will improve the quality of the resort’s premiere accommodation, refurbishing the bathrooms, kitchen areas, mirrors, showerheads, fittings, utensils, furniture & will include a re-paint of necessary areas. The 3 Bedroom Lagoon View Villa will undergo a total re-fit that will bring this Villa’s standard up to the other Premium room categories around the property. There will be minimal disruption to Resort guests during this period however all guests in nearby room categories will be contacted prior to arrival and advised of the progress of the work. 

The summer season also signals in a soft refurbishment for the majority of the resort’s Premium Beachfront Suites.  The bathrooms are the core focus of this project with a clean and touch-up on fittings, mirrors and handles. Both the villa and suite upgrades are expected to be completed by March 1 2014, in time for the resort’s peak season from June to October.

These new upgrades follow a series of improvements over the past few months, including the establishment of an on-site commercial laundry facility, a full bathroom and bedroom linen upgrade, the installation of an IP-based PBX Resort and Guest Telephone System, and the upgrade of air conditioning in the Premium Beachfront Suites.
