Combining Cook Islands Culture into our guest service
Pacific Resort Aitutaki is dedicated to promote the Cook Islands culture and ensure all guests are personally greeted with a traditional island welcome. The employment of locals enables them to grow and develop within the tourism industry and gives you a chance to experience true Cook Islands hospitality. Island night entertainment in the resort offers an exiting traditional Cook Islands show. Our Island night takes place every Wednesday and ranges from solo or group artists, which includes drummers and fire dancers wearing traditional costumes. The resort also offers all our guests numerous cultural activities including island dancing lessons, flower garland making, pareu tying, ukulele, reef excursions and even a aquatic eco trail, so that you can learn more about the exciting Cook Islands lifestyle.
Pacific Resort Aitutaki includes local produce from plantations and seafood either from the lagoon or ocean in all menus so that you can enjoy the good quality local food.
Host Community Involvement and Sustainable Tourism
We are passionate about taking care of the environment, many areas in the Cook Islands are marine protected sites and the resort supports the local raui. Pacific Resort Aitutaki continues to support the marine resources for the regeneration of marine life in lagoons. We are dedicated in supporting our host community and are involved in a number of projects. Pacific Resort Hotel Group is a main sponsor of the Cook Islands major sport event ‘Vaka Eiva’ and we operate a work experience programme to train the hospitality students in Aitutaki to help them achieve their dream careers in hospitality.
